Mrs. Struck teaches second grade at MSCS. She joined the staff in 1992. She holds a BS degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She has done graduate work at the University of ND in Grand Forks, ND and Minnesota State University Moorhead, in Moorhead, MN. Before joining the staff at MSCS, Mrs. Struck taught first and second grade in Fairbanks, AK, kindergarten in Grand Forks, ND, and fifth grade, kindergarten and reading classes in Fergus Falls, MN. She has received training in Lindamood Bell’s LiPs phonemic awareness program and certification in the Phono-Graphix course offered by Read America. In addition to classroom teaching, she enjoys tutoring students in reading and math during the summer.
Mrs. Struck has two grown children. She spends free time in the summer gardening, sailing, or biking with her husband. FYI her favorite ice cream flavor is chocolate chip.
